Breakup Alert! Hayden Panettiere and Boxing Champ Wladimir Klitschko Split

Actress and her boxing champion boyfriend end their romance after nearly two years together

Hayden Panettiere and her ginormous Ukranian boxer boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko have broken up after nearly two years of dating, her rep confirms to E! News.

So what happened to these two sex-crazed kids?

They're blaming this one on the fact that they are living and working in two different places.

"Even though we've decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends," said Panettiere in a statement to People.

Klitschko, a 35-year-old heavyweight world champ, said the duo "had a great time together" but that they just couldn't manage to sustain the relationship while living on two different continents.

"I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend, and I believe we'll keep our friendship even after the situation," he added.

The two were together as recently as the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, held just a few weeks ago, where they attended a screening of a documentary about Klitschko's boxing career.

The 5-foot-1 Panettiere and the 6-foor-6 Klitschko certainly made the odd physical couple, with Panettiere once telling Ellen DeGeneres that they "find a way" to you know, do it.

"Where there's a will, there's a way!" Panetierre, 21, proclaimed.

Apparently there's neither a will nor a way anymore.
