Ready for a side of Beyoncé you've never seen before?

The Super Bowl songstress stunned in a sheer and sparkly gown on the red carpet last night at the premiere of her HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream, and E! News caught up with Jay-Z's other half to talk about daughter Blue Ivy and her famous friendship with Gwyneth Paltrow. The singer admits Gwyn has given her motherly advice on raising her little girl in the spotlight.

"She is incredible,;she's a great friend on every level," Bey gushes when asked about her celeb BFF. "I think for us, protecting our daughters is so important and…keeping things on our own terms, so I will still be protective and make sure [Blue Ivy] has a childhood and a great time."

Still, the superfamous mama realizes she can't keep a close eye on her little girl forever, and she looks to her own mother as an example of a great parent:

"At some point, you know it is what it is, you can't control it anymore," she admits. "But I know as long as I'm the mother that I know I can be and the mother I have—such an incredible mother—my daughter's going to be fine."

Beyoncé also reveals she started on the documentary before she was pregnant but she didn't feel the film was complete until she became a mother. "It's out now because I feel like I finally know what to say after seeing my child's eyes," she says with pride.

As for hubby Jay-Z's cameos? Bey confesses the world-famous couple put their private lives out there together

"None of the footage was directed; it's all natural  moments, so I think [Jay-Z] probably meant to say he was surprised he let us put it in the movie," she says with a laugh. "It's inspiring to see real life and a real couple."

Especially when it's the life of Beyoncé.
