A new documentary about Amy Winehouse is set to hit theaters soon. Although the film has yet to be given a title, it does have something really special: unseen footage of the late singer.

British director Asif Kapadia, who won a BAFTA Film Award for his 2010 documentary Senna, is working closely with producer James Gay-Rees on the project.

"Amy was a once-in-a-generation talent who captured everyone's attention," the duo said in a joint statement. "She wrote and sung from the heart and everyone every fell under her spell."

The troubled singer tragically died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning.
