You may have noticed that Penélope Cruz hasn't been a red carpet staple this year. It's not that the Oscar winner is shying away from the spotlight, you see, she's just been enjoying motherhood.

"I was breast-feeding my son 13 months, and I plan to do the same with my daughter," she tells Allure magazine, referring to Luna, the baby girl she and husband Javier Bardem welcomed in July. "[Nursing] is addictive. It's hard when the day comes when you have to stop."

And speaking of childhood, the actress opened up about her own in the January isssue. "In my house every Sunday, everybody was cleaning the house. There was always music, and everybody was dancing, sometimes naked around the house. Not hippie, but very free."

But while the 39-year-old doesn't dish any more details about her current home life with Bardem, she does flash her giant diamond wedding ring on the January cover—a very public sign that things must be copacetic.

As for Penelope's other famous relationship, her very close friendship with Salma Hayek, she shares the two have a nickname for each other.

"She's one of my best friends. We call each other huevos [eggs]. It was because when we were working together, we didn't have children yet, so we used to sleep much more than now. So it was a way to call each other lazy. We slept in the same bed so many times and it was like she was always trying to wake me up and call me huevos."

Aw, they both seem like good eggs to us!
