Watch: Darren Criss Spills "Glee" Finale Deets

Mother always told us it wasn't polite to stare, but wait—have you seen how incredibly dreamy Darren Criss is?!

We recently caught up with the 27-year-old actor just moments after he performed Monday in front of a legion of screaming fans at Fox's Fanfront event in New York City. And trust us when we tell you that these girls were literally in hysterical sobs while watching their favorite Glee star sing "Moondance" on stage.

Criss revealed to E! News' Kristin Dos Santos that although he adores his devoted fandom of hysterical girls, their cries of disbelief sometimes make him feel like a "monster!"

"Like what a counter-intuitive way to react to somebody," Criss explained on the red carpet. "People just start screaming at you and you're just like, ‘Ahh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!'"

Screaming fans aside, we also made sure to check in with the actor about tonight's season five finale—and from what he teased, it sounds like we're in for a truly explosive episode. Maybe?

Fox boss Kevin Reilly revealed on Monday that although the sixth and final season order is currently for 22 episodes, that number will possibly go down. And although fans may be bummed that we will not be getting any new episodes of Glee until 2015, Reilly promised Fox will air the series final episodes all in a row. Heck yes, no hiatus!

Check out our exclusive interview above to get details on tonight's finale "bomb" and how Criss feels about the beginning of Glee's end. Plus, the star spilled the shocking truth as to why fans are really crying in the stands when he performs. Warning: his answer will terrify you! (Not really. But A+ for the humility, Darren!)

Glee's season five finale airs tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox.
