Surely Kim Kardashian and Kanye West realize that it's going to take a lot in future years to top the first birthday party they hosted for daughter North West today.

In honor of their baby girl, who turned 1 on June 15, the couple threw their first ever "Kidchella," named, of course, after the arts-and-music extravaganza Coachella and featuring a variety of carnivalesque activities for kids of all ages.

For starters, the invitation featured the desert-mountain backdrop of the Empire Polo Field in Indio where Coachella is thrown annually, and guests were encouraged to wear "festival inspired fashion."

There was no sign of Vanessa Hudgens in her finest boho look at North's party, but there was face-painting and hair-braiding. Guests, which included Kim and Kanye's friends, including Ciara and her newborn baby boy, LaLa Anthony and her son, Blac Chyna with Tyga and their boy, and Rachel Roy, had the opportunity to adorn themselves with flower crowns and temporary tattoos.

The party was held in the spacious yard of the Calabasas, Calif., home that Kourtney Kardashian just bought earlier this year. Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian both flew into town from New York for the weekend for their niece's big bash.

There was also a Ferris wheel and teepees to hang out in. Kendall Jenner, 18, posted on her Instagram page a shot of herself looking down from the ride as well as a video of herself dancing on a stage.

North's youngest aunt, Kylie Jenner, 16, shared a photo of herself with a friend and Khloé, who is wearing what appears to be a Native American headdress.
