When paging Dr. Shepherd at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, you're going to have to be a bit more specific! Caterina Scorsone has been promoted to series regular on Grey's Anatomy, E! News has confirmed. Scorsone, who played Derek's sister (Patrick Dempsey) Amelia Shepherd on Grey's spinoff Private Practice, will stick around the ABC drama for its upcoming season 11.

Scorsone spent more than 60 episodes on Private Practice and has appeared in half a dozen as a guest star on Grey's Anatomy. Her other TV roles include 1-800-Missing, Crash and Goosebumps.

Grey's Anatomy recently said goodbye to Sandra Oh, who had been with the show since the beginning. Additionally, Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles will not return as series regulars for season 11.

In January, Grey's Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo and Dempsey both signed new contracts keeping them with the series through season 12. ABC renewed the long-running medical drama for a season 11 in May and in January, ABC's president, Paul Lee, indicated the doctors of Grey's will remain on call for "many years to come."

For the 2014 season, ABC has moved Grey's Anatomy to 8 p.m. with Scandal at 9 p.m. and Shonda Rhimes' new series, How to Get Away With Murder, at 10 p.m. on Thursdays.
