We've all been Michael Scott in that moment. We've all gone down a stupid video black hole and came out hours later not sure how much time has passed or what we were doing before we clicked "play" on the first vid. It's important to remember that because today is the 10th anniversary of the very first video uploaded to YouTube!
So the first video uploaded to one of the Internet's most visited sites of all time must be something really insane, like a robot cat breakdancing over a pile of sleeping puppies, or some guy climbing the Hollywood sign wearing nothing but a hat made out of aluminum foil, right?
Nope, it's just a dude standing in front of some elephants at the zoo.
It's only 19 seconds long, but it's been viewed 20 million times! Also, this guy is Jawed Karim, the co-founder of YouTube who is now worth $140 billion. Not bad for someone droning on about animals at the zoo, right?
