Break out that hairbrush—Tangled is coming to TV with all your favorites from the hit movie too! The new series, which will premiere in 2017, has Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprising their roles of Rapunzel and Eugene (Flynn Rider to some!), respectively. Academy Award winner Alan Menken will serve as composer and Glenn Slater is also onboard as lyricist.

The Lego Movie's Shane Prigmore and Disney's Enchanted veteran Chris Sonnenburg are behind the project.

"The genius of the original movie was its seamless blending of cinematic adventure, character-driven comedy and touching emotion," Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement. "And we are fortunate to have several of the creative talent from that movie on board with this new production. With the addition of Chris and Shane as executive producers, we have the perfect team in place to create a series worthy of the original film."

The new Tangled series is set between the events of the film and the start of the 2012 short Tangled Ever After. Rapunzel is acquainting herself with her parents, her kingdom and the people of Corona. In a press release, Disney said the character will put her crown and impended marriage on hold to "seek out epic adventures." Along for the adventures are Eugene, chameleon sidekick Pascal horse, Maximus, the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs and a new character, Cassandra, described as "a tough-as-nails handmaiden, who becomes Rapunzel's confidant."

Tangled is just the latest brand Disney is reviving. The company also has a new Duck Tales cartoon in the works and announced a Lion King sequel series following the son of Simba and Nala.

The 2010 release of Tangled made $200 million domestically and more than $593 million globally.
