Coldplay was scheduled to do a livestream of new songs from their upcoming album A Head Full of Dreams on Friday. However, after the devastating terrorist attacks on Paris, they opted to turn the show into a moving dedication for the victims instead.

"Tonight's live stream for TIDAL & KROQ has been postponed out of respect for the terrible events in Paris," the band wrote on their website. "We'll play a short set of old material so that yourjourney isn't wasted. We send our love and prayers to the people of Paris."

Chris Martin and the band held a moment of silence for the victims before kicking off the short show with a touching cover of John Lennon's "Imagine," sending a powerful message of peace to all viewers. They continued with several stripped down and acoustic versions of fan favorites like "Fix You" and "Sparks."

Meanwhile, Coldplay wasn't the only group of musicians to honor those affected by the attacks. The Foo Fighters canceled the remainder of their tour, and Madonna broke down on stage before dedicating "Like a Prayer" to the victims.

Stephen Colbert and the cast of Saturday Night Live also made sure to dedicate a portion of their shows to Paris.

The terrorist attacks took place at multiple locations in the French capital on Friday. At least 129 people were killed and more than 350 were wounded during the shootings and suicide bombings. The terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
