Demi Moore is getting back to work.

The actress has signed on for her first flick since her dramatic hospitalization and the end of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher.

So what's the part and who are the two young starlets she'll be working with? Read on to find out some of our exclusive details…

Ms. Moore will play Elizabeth Olsen's mom, Kate, in a supporting role in Very Good Girls. But Kate isn't your ordinary mother. She's a hippie who hasn't changed her hair style—a long braid down the back—in decades, prefers that her children call her by her first name and believes in "free love," a source exclusively tells me.

The indie, from first-time director Naomi Foner (AKA, Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal's mom!), is about two best friends Gerry (Olsen) and Lilly (Dakota Fanning) in Staten Island who want to lose their virginity.

Things get a bit complicated when both fall for the same boy, David, a manipulative guy played Boyd Holbrook. You may recognize Holbrook from The Big C for his work as Mikail. He'll next be seen in the miniseries Hatfields & McCoys with Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton.

Foner apparently first wrote the script about 25 years ago!

Rounding out the cast is Foner's son-in-law, Peter Saarsgaard. Moore's casting was first reported by Deadline.

The five-week shoot begins in a couple of weeks in New York City.

Great to see you back, Demi!
