If you don't have $8.6 million, don't come a-knocking.

This Bel-Air estate, which a Hollywood icon called home for 30 years until her death, is only being shown to "prequalified buyers," probably because the actress's heirs don't want some schmoe defaulting on their mother's beloved home six months after buying it.

But don't let the charming yet relatively simple exterior of this 1960s-era ranch house fool you. There's a chance the inside is draped in gilt and velvet with diamond accents, because...

This 7,000-square-foot residence belonged to Elizabeth Taylor!

The two-time Oscar winner purchased the home in 1981 and lived there until she was hospitalized with congestive heart failure this past winter. She ultimately succumbed to her condition in March.

But why would she have ever bothered moving in the meantime?!

The gated and lushly landscaped Bel-Air home has six bedrooms, including two master suites; maid's quarters; a galley-style kitchen; an office in what was once (so probably could be again!) a screening room; a pool and spa; terraced gardens; an orchid hothouse; a koi pond; and a secret bamboo "jungle" on 1.27 acres, according to Mossler Properties, which is handling the upper-crust sale.

Not to mention, if those walls could talk...

The property also boasts sweeping treetop views and rose gardens and, if you couldn't tell, is landscaped to ensure the utmost privacy.
