Sure, Avatar will be released on DVD tomorrow, but that won't tide the Na'vi-loving masses over for long. Lucky for them, James Cameron has finished counting his money is already on the case.

Not only has he announced that the 3-D opus will return to IMAX theaters with six never-before-seen minutes this summer, but the King of the World is already prepping for a follow-up to the worldwide hit...and maybe one more after that.

"Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment—a different setting within Pandora," he told the Los Angeles Times.

"And I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest. I'm not saying we won't see what we've already seen; we'll see more of that as well."

And thanks to new technology, it won't take the better part of a decade to complete. Which makes the possibility of a part three all the more enticing.

"We expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story—not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film," Cameron said.

Couch it in whatever jargon you want, Jimbo. We know a trilogy announcement when we see it!
