Jennie Garth and Michael Shimbo have broken up after three months of dating, E! News can exclusively confirm. The actress and the media exec traveled to Austin, Texas, over the weekend to watch Formula One's U.S. Grand Prix. While there, sources reveal that the pair decided to call it quits.
Shimbo, who is the CEO of a video travel channel called PlanesTrains+Automobiles, reportedly flew home early after he and Garth got into an argument. Reps for the actress declined to comment.
In late August, the actress and the media exec decided to take their romance public at James Franco's Comedy Central Roast. They had previously been seen going on a double date with former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen Doherty and celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko. To celebrate Shimbo's birthday in September, they traveled to West Virginia and stayed at the posh Greenbrier resort.
Garth, 41, finalized her divorce from Twilight star Peter Facinelli, 39, in June after separating in March 2012. They are the proud parents of three daughters: Luca, 16, Lola, 11, and Fiona, 7.
Prior to dating Shimbo, Garth was most recently linked to Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salken.
During an Oct. 21 appearance on Bethenny, the mom of three revealed what she desires most in a man. "I look for somebody that shares an energy," Garth revealed. "There is just that connection, that energy that they have—it doesn't matter what the person looks like or what they really do. There has to be that first and foremost, that zing. That thing."
Here's hoping Garth finds "that zing" with the next guy!
