Johnny Depp Confirms Engagement to Amber Heard, Shows Off "Chick's Ring" on His Finger

Actor comments on the diamond ring he wore while promoting his latest movie in Beijing

Johnny Depp himself essentially confirmed that he and Amber Heard are indeed engaged.

While promoting his latest movie, Transcendence, in Beijing on Monday, the 50-year-old actor was asked by a reporter about the diamond ring he was sporting, ABC News reports.

"Can I take that as confirmation of your engagement?" the journalist inquired.

"You can take that anyway you like, absolutely," Depp replied. "The fact that I'm wearing a chick's ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle."

It was back in January that E! News confirmed Depp and Heard were preparing to tie the knot. The pretty pair met on the set of their 2011 film The Rum Diary.

Earlier this month, the two celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a star-studded engagement party at the Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles.

Steven Tyler, Jerry Bruckheimer, Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams, Marilyn Manson, Andy Garcia and music producer Rick Rubin were in attendance at the bash. Family members included Heard's sister, Whitney, Depp's mother, Betty Sue Palmer, and son Jack.

A source told E! News that the invite to get inside was a black envelope, with the initials "A and J," and what appeared to be a golden ticket. Guests were then escorted to a tent with red velvet curtains, which led to the entrance of the 1920s-themed event space. The partygoers were also spotted with gifts for Depp and Heard.

According to an eyewitness, the atmosphere was very festive with bluesy rock music and a saxophonist. Guests dined on a variety of food truck options, including Mexican, American and Korean dishes.
