Taye Diggs Makes First Official Red Carpet Appearance With Girlfriend Amanza Smith Brown at 2014 BET Awards

Actor introduced his leading lady to reporters

Taye Diggs introduced the world to his girlfriend at the 2014 BET Awards this afternoon in Los Angeles.

The actor paraded his leading love, Amanza Smith Brown, and gushed about the new lady in his life.

The two exchanged a bit of PDA on the red carpet and looked dressed to the nines in their respective ensembles.

Brown was sporting a white gown with a metallic belt, while Diggs opted for a gray suit and patterned tie.

Just four months after it was announced that he and Broadway star Idina Menzel had split up after nearly 11 years of marriage, E! News learned of the actor's new relationship with the model.

"They are 100 percent in love," a source told E! News at the time. "They have been dating for a while."

Back in December of last year, reps for Diggs and Menzel told E! News in a statement, "Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have jointly decided to separate at this time. Their primary focus and concern is for their son. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time."

Diggs and Menzel, who met as members of the original Broadway cast of Rent in 1995, tied the knot on Jan. 11, 2003.

The couple has one child together, a son named Walker, who is 4-years-old.
